What made you decide to become a Registered Holistic Nutritionist?
After years of feeling unhealthy and struggling with my weight and infertility, I switched to a whole foods plant-based diet. This changed and revitalized my health - I no longer struggle with my weight, I have more energy, and my digestion is much better. I was also able to have a successful pregnancy, which resulted in my beautiful daughter. All of this inspired me to help others improve their health through nutrition.
What school did you go to?
The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.
Where will my initial consultation be held?
It’s up to you. I have office space available in Pitt Meadows, BC - you’d prefer an in-person consultation, then we can meet there. Otherwise, we can meet virtually on Skype or FaceTime.
What will my initial consultation entail?
Prior to your initial consultation, I will e-mail you my client intake forms for you to fill out. I ask that you send them back to me at least three days prior to our appointment so I can review them before we meet - this gets you the most out of your first appointment so it’s highly recommended! On the day our initial consultation, we will meet in person or virtually. During the first appointment we discuss your personal health history as well as your intake forms. We will also discuss your current symptoms, wellness concerns, and health goals. After our meeting, I will e-mail you a personalized wellness plan that includes nutritional, supplemental, and lifestyle recommendations.
Will I need a follow-up appointment?
In most cases, I see my clients for one or two follow-up appointments - it all depends on your wellness concerns and health goals. Feel free to contact me if you are unsure which package to choose.
Are your services covered by my medical plan?
Possibly! If your extended health plan specifically covers consultations by a Nutritionist, then my services are covered. (Please note that I am not a dietician so if your plan only covers “dietician” then it will not be covered.)
Please contact me if you have any questions that are not listed here.
